Workforce Hub Outage – Update

Gentlemen –

Well I spoke to soon. We have been told the security team has postponed their upgrade until February 4th, for the same time period.  Apparently, they are not able to make their changes during the Sunday outage with other changes moving into production.  This is the reason for the postponement and rescheduling it for a Saturday.

We are actively working to update the communication currently put out to the TYE folks, scroller, broadcast message, and BNSF Connect.

I apologize for the change.

Thanks,

Mindy

Subject: Workforce Hub Outage Sunday, January 29th 10-11:00CST

Gentlemen –

I wanted to give you a heads up, Sunday, January 29th, BNSF security team will be moving some upgrades in which will cause an outage to the WF Hub and a number of other applications.  There is a global outage planned from 10:00 -11:00, at that time the system should recover.  However, their will be a few intermittent outages from 11:00 – 12:30 CST that will need to occur.  The intermittent outages from 11-12:30 should be brief.  We encourage all users during that timeframe if they are not able to log on, wait 10 minutes and try again.

From 10-11:00, no information will be available on the WF Hub, including Board Views.  We have put out communication on the scroller, a broadcast message and a BNSF Connect article to make your members aware of the upcoming outage and remind them line up information is still available if needed by calling into the Workforce Support IVR/VRU system at 785-676-2739 or 800-793-4018.

We apologize for the inconvenience.  The changes being made are not WF Hub changes, they are changes to a security application we use when authenticating users, which is why we are being indirectly affected by the change.

If you have any questions please let me know.

Thanks,

Mindy
